Space Engineers
Finished 2.0... amazing being able to say that! Full crew quarters, dining, recreation, engineering, a second battlebridge built in deep in the main body, very very proud of her :) -pondering 3.0 already-

Viscera Cleanup Detail
-whistles while he carries a human chest to the furnace, mops up where the poor soul had been hiding in this sewer system and then empties the bloodied water bucket- This game, never ever gets old. Haven't played it in afew months and in that time they've doubled the available content so I'm highly entertained right now :)

Stages are very involving and a fantastic time passer by. Just finished the sewer stage, small stage at that and it took me about 3 hours heh. Cleaned up all human and alien blood, disposed of all body parts, patched bullet holes, organized all crates and barrels, cleaned up plenty of spilt water buckets and hazmat containers -whistles, looks other way at those messes-

After all that work, I'm returned to the janitors office to find out I... missed a bullet hole somewhere, missed a blood splot too but all in all I got a promotion for excellent service... and a threat from co-workers who are jealous :P

Angry Birds Transformers
Got a update last week that actually feels like a balanced iap system, finally! Unlocking new areas simply requires a level requirement, no more coin cost to open. The farmable spots seem to pay more frequently, stages are entertaining as always. You can now bomb stages you just can't get past. Noticed afew new mechanics randomly showing up on stages, pigs popping out of grass/water and shooting for example, entertaining heh! There still is no cloud save and last time I played I had uninstalled in anger over the iap hell, so now I have to start fresh. I'm already level 51 so making very very quick progress.

DLC number three for Alien: Isolation is on its way, very cool! I loved every god damn minute of that game and can't wait for more of it. A recap of the DLC's follows.

Crew Expendable : Mother is running simulations to determine the best way to handle the alien and in this particular simulation you choose who you want to play as and go in to the air ducts where you play out the movie scene where Dallas was closing off air vents trying to pen the alien in. Prior to engaging this mission you are free to explore the entire ship which has been painstakingly recreated!

Last Survivor : Ripley is the only one left alive and in this mother simulation you get to run around the belly of the Nostromos arming the reactors to explode and escaping in the shuttle pod!

The next dlc isn't tied to the first movie, its tied to the events of the game itself and expands on the lore of the game. Its called Corporate Lockdown. In this dlc Seegson Exec Ransome learns that he has been financially cut off from the company, he knows the Torrens is on its way and decides to make his escape taking encoded Nostromo flight recorder data with him. However, there's some loose ends he wants to tie up before doing so...

This third dlc will introduce gauntlet mode which challenges players to complete all three survivor challenges back to back without dieing. October 28th, can't wait!

My iPad Air 2 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow! Two days before their supposed to be in anyones hands! Win! Faster processor, better screen anti-glare, better screen quality, thinner, finger print scanner, better camera, gold. They ditched the 32gig model this year and shuffled down the larger sized models accordingly so this year I get a 128gig for the same price as my 64 gig last year.

My Apple tv was delivered today and finally the vagueness of this damn device is lifted. Here is what you can do with it.

. Watch hulu and netflix
. Watch any major tv station so long as you have a provider your already paying for it.
. Access itunes and stream any music you own as well as the radio stations, podcasts, movies, etc.
. Access your itunes on your pc wirelessly which gives access to your playlists.
. Youtube
. Access your phone's itunes for same reason as your pc.
. Airplay for games that support it. If the game doesn't support it you can still hear your games music play.

Not bad, was hoping for some sort of subscription system where I paid say 10 dollars for hbo, 5 bucks for history channel, etc, etc but oh well. Wife loves this thing, its set up in the living room downstairs and she access to all her music without having to set the laptop up down there.

3 1/2 weeks till Warlords of Draenor.

Last thursdays Space Engineer update fixed weapons! No more exploding turrets when firing on npcs! I'm back in to the game hardcore, working on 2.0, collecting npc ships that I don't happen to blow up, also figured out how to add asteroids and discovered that there is an asteroid that the game as a default will never use when creating a new singleplayer or multiplayer save. The reason is its size, its almost 3 times the size as the asteroid I call home. I added it, going to build something on it eventually.

-----

Styx got its first patch last week, fixed every single complaint every review had about it. This game is an assassin's creed / thief game from the perspective of a goblin. Very cool, well priced at less than 30 dollars.

-----

Rooster Teeth just wrapped up season 12 of its show Red vs Blue and that end was amazing! Revealed who the main antagonist of both 12 and 11 is, and its someone I had completely forgotten about who has been a player in the series since season... 3? 4? Can't wait to see where they go with this :)

-----

Shadows of Mordor got its second free dlc today. Adds a "Black hand of Sauron" skin and three new overpowered runes. Nature run makes you immune to poison, Ascendant doubles focus time for ranged combat and Elven Grace cuts incoming damage in half.

So, I own two laptops, a tablet and two portables. I like to have the latest toys, will probably never be out of debt because of this but really its just the way I roll. That said, I'm always curious as to whether my toys are the latest and greatest or if I'm falling behind the game so I did some surfing tonight and here's what I found.

My Laptop(s)
Asus g750 (2014 model year)
. core i7 2.4 clockable to 4.2ghz
. geforce 880m graphics
. 32gig ddr3 ram
. 512 solid state, 1gig 720rpm hd's
. not going to detail my second laptop, its a x551m, cost just over 200 bucks. I own it for the light weight of it, long battery life, for quick blogging, surfing and movie watching. no gaming.

I took a glance at the surface pro 3. Powerful tablet....laptop... thingie. Its always on my radar, never know when tablets will finally surpass laptops/desktops performance wise and the surface is definitely the closest its gotten to date. But, all hardware specs fall short of the g750 except convienence of portability and the price is actually higher than mine. Oh and all games I've seen running on it have been a excessively low settings and still had framerate issues. Meh. Also took a glance at the razer blade pro and edge pro. The Edge pro is a year behind across the board and the blade pro is behind on all specs though damn is it gorgeous to look at. Super slim, amazing really. My laptop beats everything I glanced at performance wise... and weight.... heh.

I don't really search for upgrades to my tablet. I prefer a ipad, period. And that means I know exactly where my potential upgrade will be when it arrives, apple.com and in september. Probably won't buy the air 2 or whatever they call it. My air is amazingly slim, really powerful and I hear rumors that this years model will be a simple processor upgrade and not much else.

The Vita slim is out. All performance related spects are unchanged except for the screen which is actually a psp1 quality. The bad? Obviously lower quality visuals. The good? Much much longer battery life and the images don't 'burn' in to the screen display when left on for too long. I like the slim, better looking controls everywhere, smaller rear touch pad means I won't hit it as often, screen i could deal with but... well I have a hard enough time actually paying attention to my vita. Not about to drop 200+ on a vita slim just so I can ignore it.

Nintendo, 3ds xl. No changes. still same device.

Thank god I don't need upgrades, still paying for two of my current toys :P

-stares at kerbal space program-

I swear to god I'm going to figure out how to reach another planet today. Thanks to the asteroid redirect expansion I've got landing on mun down to a science.

Oh and I'm playing pocket planes again, seriously addictive little game heh.

Oh and my hardcore crusader in diablo 3 that took the place of my dead hardcore demon hunter, well the crusader just hit 70 and is soooo overpowered its damn silly.

The Week, Summarized

Monday, World of Warcraft. Tuesday too. Wednesday buried in snow, no game releases that caught my wallets attention. Pretty weak week in my opinion. Played WoW instead. Thursday? Got 20 minutes towards work, roads turned from slush to a inch of snow, lost control of car, recovered control and came back home. Played abit of Diablo 3, then back to WoW.

Friday night, I find myself sitting a work, still no releases worth my eyeballs attention on the ipad. Probably read a book or play wow. Been addicted to WoW lately as you can tell. I'm the proud owner of 1 lvl90 of every class now, which confirms I have no life. The character that I enjoy the most? The shadow priest with the monk in a close second. Both are fully raid finder seige of orgimmar geared. The character that I enjoy the least? DPS warrior. I just can't seem to find my grove with that one.

:P

Damn it, too many games, too many distractions. Lets see...

Final Fantasy 4: The afteryears just went on sale and historically square enix always puts their latest final fantasy outting on sale right as the next final fantasy hits the app store. -stares hopefully at japan's release of ff6 afew weeks back-

Eve Online : The single largest battle took place monday morning through tuesday early hours, 18 hour battle. To put this in perspective, this battle lost over 70 titans. The second largest? 10. themittani.com has all the details and outcome reports and even a decent video.

Bardbarian : update hit, all bugs on my screen fixed, woo hoo! This'll probably end up being my game of the month.

I've taken Black Flag from 55% to 84% completion, yarr!

There's alot of really interesting games hitting the app store tonight, I'll definitely update when they arrive.

-peeks in, looks around-

I should probably do something with my blog, huh? Its odd really, I enjoy gaming alot. I game on the pc, vita, ipad, xbox somewhat... I pretend i game on my ps3 but its really just an extension of my vita. Also plays blue rays real good heh.

But despite my love of gaming and my interest in talking about gaming I've never been able to settle down on one fixed location to put all my gaming randomness. Mojo-Farm, ngmocogames, facebook... made a separate facebook page for gaming recently... didn't last long. I game post on two friends facebook pages, flakey about it though.

I need focus.

A little distraction...

Been a little over a week since my last post, my bad. World of Warcraft's 4th Expansion, Mists of Pandaria launched a week and a half ago and I've been knee deep in panda's, leveling, new zones, you name it. A summary? This expansion rocks. It improves the game in almost every way and with very few exceptions I am enjoying the new content emensly. The new zones are large and varied. The story rock solid. There is humor all throughout, plenty of tongue in cheek moments. They paid special attention to the cooking profession and added an actual farm where you can maintain crops and whatnot. Think farmville done right. In all honesty I wouldnt be suprised at all of zynga borrowed a few ideas blizzard put in to action with WoW's farm system for use on their freemium crap.

My only annoyance? In my humble opinion blizzard has ruined my druid for me. For the last three expansions and the original version of the game, Druids were multi taskers when using the feral spec. The only difference between a feral cat and a feral bear druid was three talent points so when dungeoning, raiding or pvping it was a quick form shift and bam good to go on another role. This changed with pandaria. They have added a fourth specialization to the druid (only class in the game with more than three), feral(kitty) and guardian(bear). In concept and in a group and when not in pvp I imagine this does very very well. The druid as a bear will be paying more attention to their damage mitigating abilities, healers will be keeping a closer eye on them too. Druid kitties don't need to worry about the 'quick, bear up, a tanks down!' as a feral kitty has no tanking ability anymore worth squat.

In solo practice? As a bear my dps is in the toilet. Everything takes for god ever to kill, period. In kitty form? I'm excessively squishy. In pvp? My enemies keep me stunned and whittle down my hit points, with pandaria the mastery for bear druids is simply more armor. No damage mitigation. No proc'ing bonuses, nothing.

So, in summary. My bear druid is very boring in solo level 90 content. My bear druid is very quickly killed in pvp situations. My bear druid is button usage heavy with what feels for me to be very little reward for my effort.

How am I handling this? Doing my dailies each day and then hoping over to my death knight who feels like she kills things 3 times faster and her mastery bonus makes her damn near invincible compared to my bear druid when at the same level.

That said, my initial craze rush for WoW is sated and I'll be spending more time on the ipad and iphone again, especially when at work on mids.
